Green View

Bright sunny day with clear sky
Cold wind is blowing
It was raining yesterday
Rain drops on top of jasmine plant
Dazzling view of reflected light
Green trees around and green grass
A nice pleasant view
The aroma of tulsi plant
And sweet smell of jasmine
Butter flies fly around
Enjoying the sweet honey
The calm and peaceful atmosphere
Adds an invigorating state.

Ageing – the natural process

Tags: ageing, life style, diseases, free radicals, antioxidants

Everybody in this world  want to remain youthful always. But unfortunately as days pass, one gets older and changes take place both physically and mentally, On getting older many problems and diseases crop up. The diseases can be classified as life style diseases like blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol etc. Ageing is a natural process which affects the whole body. Since it is a natural process, it can’t be stopped altogether but can only  be slowed down to a certain extent. The rate of ageing will speed up on account of lack of exercise, improper food, lack of sleep and mental worry, By correcting the lifestyle, the rate of ageing can be slowed down considerably.
In old age skin loses its elasticity, eye sight gets weakened, muscles weaken, black hair turns to white, teeth get decayed and various other diseases increase. Heredity plays a very important role in ageing. Highly corrosive oxidising elements called free radicals attack our body.

The main causes of free radicals are air pollution, strong sun light, cigarette smoking and absence of nutritious food. As  a remedial step, antioxidants should be taken which break down the free radicals. The main anti oxidants are vitamins - A, C and E and the mineral selenium.

The main effects of ageing are:

Increased chances for heart attack, arthritis , cancer
Impaired hearing, loss of teeth, cataract etc
Black hair turninng white
Poor sleep, irritability
Due to loss of calcium bones turn more brittle

As mentioned earlier, ageing is a natural  process which can’t be stopped but can be only slowed down by changing the life style.

Healthy Happy and Contended Life

Everybody in this world want to lead a healthy, happy and contended life. Happiness is a state of mind. It depends on the individual concerned. But in general for a person to be happy, he should be of sound health and should have the resources to meet his basic needs. The needs may vary from person to person. The first and foremost requirement is health. The adage “If health is lost everything is lost” is perfectly apt. If a person is sick, he will not be able to enjoy life how much money he/she has.

If one wants to lead a healthy life, he  has to  definitely lead a stipulated and controlled life. The important aspects in this regard are nutritious and balanced food, sufficient physical exercise and proper mental disposition. Even though the daily routine may vary with the individual concerned , certain general guidelines can be followed.

They are:

-       Early morning rise
-      After attending to the nature’s call, have a glass of lime water
-       Sit in a corner of your room, close your eyes, empty your mind
a   and then visualize as what you want to achieve in your life
-       The have for about half an hour some sort of physical exercise depending on your age and the surroundings.
-       Try to have your breakfast, lunch and dinner at specified  timings
-       Take at least six to seven glasses of  clean water during the day time
-       During the course of the day, it  may so happen that you may have to face certain   situations which may  provoke you and you may get  angry. Face the situation calmly and coolly.
-       Have your dinner al least two hours before you go for sleeping
-       Before entering into the sleeping state, lie down on your bed, close the eyes
empty your mind and then  visualize in  the same way as described earlier.

If one can follow a daily routine like that, one may be able to lead a healthy, happy and contended life.
