Coconut plucking is an art. It requires expertise to climb to the top of the tree, pluck it and throw to the ground. Previously the system was completely manual, but now there are motorized climbing machines. Due to the shortage of experienced persons locally , climbers are coming from Bengal and Orissa. He is Noorul Alum from Malda district in Bengal. He is in Kerala for the last five years. He spent his early childhood in Delhi. His father is no more. He has three sisters ; all are married. He has got a six months old baby girl. Presently he is staying in a rented house along with his friends. He pays Rs 1500 as rent. He takes break fast and lunch from a hotel. Night he prepares his dinner along with his friends. He goes to his native place twice in a year.
