Laughter- The Best Medicine

Tags: laughter, medicine, sorrow, tests
It is recognized all over the world that  laughter  is the best medicine! Researchers have found that  positive  emotions  have a beneficial impact on a person's health. It has been observed  that watching comedy films boosts blood flow to the heart.
It was  found that artery blood flow was reduced after watching movie clips that caused distress; but  was increased  after watching movie clips that elicited laughter. The difference in flow between sad and happy responses exceeded an astonishing 50 percent.
The study was conducted on 20 healthy young adults after asking them to  view 15 to 30 minutes of  tragic / comic films. For the analysis 160 measurements of artery blood flow were taken before and one minute after exposing to phases of laughter or sadness.

Laughter- the best medicine

One important feature that makes man different from animal is his ability to laugh.
Just like man, animal also eats,sleeps,quarrels/fights and so on and so forth, but unfortunately can't laugh.

It is being said that laughter is the best medicine. It unloads tension, creates a vibrant and healthy surroundings. But the laugh must be from the heart and should not serve as a cover up for the emotions.

Now a days there are laughter clubs in many cities. People come together under one umbrella ,laughs and enjoys. Yes, to a certain extent it may be helpful -only thing is that it should not be mechanical as a routine measure.

When we see the acting of a comedian in a movie ,we laughs. But what is that which makes one laugh? Have you ever thought about it?

Laughter has the ability to change the moods of a person. His tensions and sorrows are eased.

So gentlemen, utilize every opportunity to laugh and make life happy and gay.
